Right, it’s time for people to start throwing things in The Mixer.
Every now and again, one of the major television networks broadcasts a ’100 Greatest Sitcoms’ or ’100 Funniest TV Moments’ type programme that demonstrates the nation’s lack of taste and intelligence by suggesting the The Vicar of Dibley, Only Fools and Horses or, God forbid, Absolutely Fabulous is the funniest thing ever to have been on television. Obviously, the people who vote for such programmes are cretinous idiots who wouldn’t know know a joke if it jumped out of Dawn French’s over-sized stomach and smacked them round the head. For that reason, The Mixer has decided to carry out its own poll.
The Mixer’s readership, while hopelessly small and unrepresentative, is undoubtedly far more intelligent and discerning than the average Briton and, as such, the winner of our poll will certainly be far more deserving than anything the Great British public would vote for.
We’ve started the list with a few suggestions that you may wish to vote for. Select your choice from the list and add a comment to explain why you think that deserves such high acclaim. If your chosen sitcom isn’t on our list, try and convince us of its merits and we’ll add it to the list if it’s deemed worthy.
